Townsend’s Slice of Summer Celebration Starts June 15th.

Plans for the seventh annual Slice of Summer season are being finalized.  Slice of Summer is a community-sponsored family fun event held on the third Thursday of June, July, and August each year at Heritage Fun Park.  Mark your calendars-this year’s Slice of Summer dates are June 15, July 20, and August 17

2017 Tasmanian Friendship Exchange

On June 4, 2017 a delegation of Tasmanians visited Townsend as part of a Rotary Friendship Exchange. The Tasmanian Exchange team representing Rotary District 9830 was here ro re-kindle friendships recently made during the visit to Tasmania by the Montana Friendship Exchange team. The ongoing association between our town districts is a testament to the wonderful world of Rotary.

Skeeter the Circus Clown Coming June 21

(Townsend) (June 15) — Skeeter the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus clown is coming to Townsend on June 21st!

Skeeter will be promoting the June 28th Townsend Circus and will be visiting the swimming pool, local daycare facilities, the Senior Center, the Broadwater Health Center, etc.  If you have a location that Skeeter needs to visit please call Patrick Plantenberg at 431-4615.

Local Rotarians participate in the Community Cleanup/School Cleanup

On May 13, 2017 the annual School Cleanup Project and the 1st annual Community Cleanup worked to spruce up the Townsend Community.  The Townsend Rotary Club was a sponsor of the Community Cleanup and Rotarian Patrick Plantenberg organized the School Cleanup project prior to graduation.

15 Townsend Rotarians volunteered to work the two projects.
