APPROVAL OF MINUTES:  MOTION:  Kathy S moved to approve minutes from February 28, 2017; Laura O seconded; Passed.


PROGRAM: Jackie Smith, RADERSBURG’s 150TH Anniversary Celebration July 29-30

  • Jackie reported at Board Meeting; she had to leave before the Regular meeting
  • Will come to later meeting to sell tickets

BIOGRAPHY:      None


  • Foundation Centennial Grant application for Head Start Projects –
    • Committee Meeting held on-site to lay eyes on project and brainstorm ideas; Pat P, Ron S, Chris W, Jeff L, Kathy S, Jean S and Laura S met with Phyllis (Head Start)
    • Ron S then met with Clint Watson (High School shop teacher) and developed a design for shed.  Shop students will construct shed in pieces and assemble on site.
    • Other ideas: Roof over play area; Toy holder (shelves or net)
  • Fall Fest Meeting – Jen reported on March 7 meeting
    • Still working on budgets
    • Getting publicity started
    • Pat working on Sponsorship package
  • RYLA campers - working with John O’Dell and Jill Flynn
    • Have submitted funds for two attendees and have requested three additional attendees
  • Rotary ‘Membership Matters’ Event
    • Presenter:   Dick Jones,  Membership Cadre Specialist,  Santa Fe, NM;
    • For Membership, Public Image and Foundation Committee Members, Club Officers and Leaders;
    • Saturday, March 18; 9:00 am—1:30 pm     
    • Coffee/Networking begins at 8:30 am
    • Radisson Colonial Hotel Helena; 2301 Colonial Drive   Helena, MT  (406) 443-2100;
    • Ross J., Kathy S., Patrick P., and Jeff L. are going
  • Vic S – Mentioned audio recordings stored at Museum and transferring to digital.  He has funds to transfer first five tapes.  If successful, may solicit additional funds.

  • April 8 – Broadwater Rod and Gun Club Annual Banquet at 5:30pm at Fairgrounds
  • April 28-29 – DISTRICT CONFERENCE 2017, Hilton Garden Inn, Kalispell; Patrick & Ross going
  • May 13 – Community Cleanup Day

  • May 27-June 9 – Hosting Tasmanian Friendship Exchange Members (Townsend asked to host night of June 8)

  • Chris W – Purchased lot on Skyview Lane for building home; Daughter got married;
  • Vic S – Worked two months and finally got Missouri Valley Marketing incorporated

SERGEANT-AT-ARMS: Linda C. collected $1 for no Rotary pins
