4H Kitchen New Ranges Challenge

The Townsend Rotary Club has spearheaded an effort to redo the kitchen cabinets in the 4H building at the Fairgrounds.  The 4H building is heavily used for large events that seat from 50-250 people.  The $14,000 kitchen job is estimated to be completed by June 30 for a cost of less than $4,000 thanks to many generous donations of labor and materials.  The project has grown and not only are the cabinets being completed, but new countertops have been installed, the kitchen walls, ceiling, and floor have been painted, two new windows have been installed

If you no longer have a land line you need to manually enter your cell or VoIP number to receive Community Emergency Notification calls.  Another reason to enter your cell phone even if you have a landline or VoIP phone is so you can be notified when you are away from home.

Townsend Rotary Awards Special Recruiting Pins to 4 members

On April 12, the Townsend Rotary Club awarded 4 members with special Rotary Recruiting Pins.  Bill Kearns, Pat Plantenberg, John Rains and Vic Sample were all awarded the special pins for having recruited new members to the local Rotary Club this year.

Bill was awarded an extra special pin in recognition of his efforts in recruiting many new members to the Townsend Rotary Club.
