Townsend Trivia at the Legion on Nov 2

Submitted by vsample on Mon, 10/30/2017 - 14:07

Thursday November 2, the Helena Sunrise Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Townsend are sponsoring Trivia Night to raise money for an Interact Scholarship for a Townsend Interact Club student.  The Rotary Club of Townsend is currently helping form a brand new Interact Club for Townsend Youth.

Interact is a service club for youth ages 12 to 18 who want to connect with other young people and have fun while serving their communities and learning about the world.  Clubs, which meet at least twice a month, are sponsored by local Rotary clubs. Interact clubs organize two projects every year, one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding.  Members of sponsor Rotary clubs mentor Interactors as they carry out the projects and develop leadership skills.  The name was created by combining the words international and action.

Trivia Night will be held at the American Legion at 211 Broadway from 6-8pm.  Local teams will be competing for prizes while raising funds for the scholarship.  The cost is $10 per team member.  Don’t worry if you are not part of a team yet-just stop in and join one of the teams at the Legion.

The Rotary Club of Townsend will be serving chili, corn bread, cupcakes, corn chips, pretzels, cookies, etc.  Where else can you get a meal, laugh, and learn something while raising money for a good cause on a Thursday night?  There is another place….

The Helena Sunrise Rotary Club sponsors Trivia Night in Helena on the third Thursday of every month at the Staggering Ox from 6-8 pm.  Every month, they raise money for a different charily.  Please join other Townsend residents traveling to Helena on November 16th to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.  See you November 2 and November 16th.  Raising money is not just a trivial pursuit!
