(Townsend) (March 29) — On Tuesday, March 27th, the Rotary Club of Townsend held a pot luck party at the American Legion to honor the Broadwater Community Foundation (BCF). BCF Board members Carol Plymale, Helen Turcotte, and Terry Nugent gave an overview of the history and status of the organization. The BCF Endowment has grown to almost one-half million dollars in 20 years since its inception!
Many members of the Rotary Club and their spouses were present and raised their hands to indicate that they as members of Rotary, the hospital, the ambulance service, the school, the Tree Board, The Fun for Life Foundation, etc. have received grants from BCF over the years.
After the BCF program, Rotary Past-President Ross Johnson presented a plaque to the BCF members present which read:
“Presented to the Broadwater Community Foundation by The Rotary Club of Townsend March 27, 2018 To Thank the Foundation Board for Protecting our Investment and for Supporting Many and Various Community Projects over the Years”.
Thank you Broadwater Community Foundation!
