BHS Students Continue to Lead at RYLA Camp

Submitted by vsample on Mon, 09/30/2019 - 09:15

Last year the Rotary Club of Townsend sent eight Broadwater High School (BHS) students to the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA) at Luccock Park south of Livingston-more than any other high school in Montana! And two of the students were invited as Junior Counselors!

In 2019, Rotary sent 7 BHS students to RYLA equaling the number of students from one other high school in Montana-Billings. Again this year two BHS students were selected to return as counselors. Ty Steele returned in 2019 as a Junior Counselor, and Daniel Wyse was invited as a Senior Counselor.

The Rotary Club of Townsend is very proud to send these high quality BHS students to this outstanding leadership camp offered in Montana. These young leaders return from this life changing camp to BHS and make a difference. Many of these students belong to the Interact Club which is a Rotary sponsored youth club.

Thank you Townsend area parents and Townsend School District #1 for producing these great students to represent Townsend and Broadwater County at RYLA.
