On Tuesday, September 24th, Montana Rotary District 5390 Governor Sandy Wong from Billings visited Townsend. She was given a tour of local Rotary and Interact projects, met with the Rotary Club of Townsend Board of Directors, and spoke to the Rotary membership at their regular meeting at the Mint Café.
She was notably impressed with the amount and quality of projects the local club and Interact Club has completed and has planned. The Rotary Club explained to Governor Wong that our Fall Fest project is the source of all our funding and is very important to the local community. She was impressed with the variety and quality of our local projects as well as the international projects the Interact Club has completed.
Governor Wong stressed to the local membership in her speech how important local club representatives are to the Montana District 5390 and encouraged us to please get involved not only at the local level but also at the District level.
