Interact Connects with Seniors for the Holidays!
The Rotary Youth Sponsored Interact Club is Staying Connected with area Senior Citizens this Holiday Season. The Broadwater High School Students in the Interact Club decided to do something special for area Seniors for their annual community project since most of the Seniors have not been able to connect with friends and family in 2020 because of COVID-19 concerns.
The students are writing personal cards to 135 area Seniors in the Senior Dinner Club, Billings Clinic Broadwater Nursing Home and Hospital, Silver Springs Assisted Living, Serenity Point Assisted Living, and the Rocky Mountain Development Council’s Senior Housing facilities on Elm and South Spruce streets. Finally, they are sending six additional cards to area Seniors that have lost a spouse in the last year.
The students will be delivering cards and gift bags to the Seniors on December 23rd. The project is supported by a Montana Rotary District 5390 COVID-19 Staying Connected Grant, the local Rotary Club of Townsend, local Rotary Club members, the new owner of Bob’s Supermarket, Townsend Drug and Spirits, and donations from friends and families of the Interact students. Happy Holidays to All Seniors in Broadwater County.
