Local Rotarians Laura Obert, Jeff Langlinais, Jean Sautter and Nichole Brown all attended a Sip'N'Paint event hosted by "Hog'em, Beat'em and Cheat'em Artisans of the Missouri River Valley" a local artisans coop. The Sip'N'Paint event was a water color painting class (with plenty of wine sipping) taught by noted local artists Diane Johnson and Dawn Scoffield.

The class was given a choice of projects and by majority vote decided to work on a painting of an aspen grove based on a photograph taken by Diane Johnson. The painting class was broken into several steps; Diane and Dawn made a presentation on each step and then visited with each artists giving individual advice and help.

More than 20 people attended the Sip'N'Paint event and all left with a beautiful, unique painting as well as the water color paints, paint brushes and their wine glass provided by the Artisans Coop.

It was fascinating to see how 20 different artists interpreted the one photograph and created 20 unique representations!
