Townsend Rotary, Broadwater Rodeo Association, Fair Board, Broadwater County Development Corporation and the Townsend Area Chamber of Commerce are proud to announce DRIVE-IN Movie Night. We will be showing "Big - Starring Tom Hanks" on a large screen television (sound through your radio) at the Broadwater County Fair Grounds.
The Drive-In Movie night will be $10.00 per vehicle. All occupants will need to be wearing a legal seatbelt when entering and leaving the Fair Grounds.
In coordination with the Broadwater County Health Department and the Sheriff's Office we are excited to offer 100 pre-event tickets to the event.

The Townsend Rotary Club held their annual Holiday party to celebrate the 2015 holiday season. This year the Holiday party was also a fund raiser to help send Linda Cousineau to India to participate in the Rotary International Polio Immunization program.
On December 14 and 15 the Townsend Rotary Club and the Townsend Lion's Club jointly hosted a Senior Dinner and Christmas Light Tour. Both nights were a success with over 90 Seniors attending the dinner and the light tour. The dinner started at 5:00 at the Townsend Senior Center and was a spectacular dinner.
On Tuesday November 17, 2015 the Ryland Foote "Fun for Life" foundation, Townsend Rotary Club and Helena Sunrise Rotary Club sponsored a Trivia Night event at the American Legion Hall. Benefits from the Trivia Night event went to the Ryland Foote "Fun for Life" foundation.
Judy Schenk is a very active Townsend Rotarian who contributes to the community in many ways. Born in Minnesota, Judy's family moved to Hall, Montana (near Drummond) when she was in the first grade. Judy attended grade school Hall and attended high school in Drummond her Freshman and Sophomore years.
On Halloween, the Townsend Rotary "Fun Club" made their annual visit to the Broadwater County Health Center Nursing Home to visit with the residents and distribute some Halloween cheer (candy!!) -- in full costume.
Afterwards, Patrick Platenberg and Mary Mistec hosted a Rotary Halloween Party at their home.
The Townsend Rotary club held a "Thank-You" party for all of the Townsend Fall Fest Sponsors and Volunteers at the American Legion on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. The Legion offered a no-host bar followed by a Rotary pot-luck dinner. Over 100 Rotarians, Fall Fest Sponsors and Fall Fest Volunteers attended the event.
The Townsend Rotary Club and the White Sulphur Springs Rotary club made a joint visit to the proposed Tintina mining site to go on a tour and learn about the proposed mine operations.
Afterward the 2 clubs went to for drinks and dinner in White Sulphur Springs.
Despite cold, windy weather on Saturday, the Townsend Rotary Fall Fest was a big hit. Featuring numerous vendors, the Veteran's Memorial Service and Parade, the Show and Shine Car Show and an incredible slate of musical performances thousands of people attended the 2015 Fall Fest.
Governor Bullock Presents Rotary Longevity AwardsAt the Rotary Club of Townsend 75th Anniversary Celebration on August 27th, Governor Steve Bullock presented two special Rotary awards. Mel Pottruff was a member of the Rotary Club of Townsend since 1963, a Past President of the Club, a Paul Harris Fellow, and Club Treasurer for 39 years. Mel passed away in 2015 before the Club could present him with his 51-year pin. Governor Bullock presented Mel’s 51-year pin to Mel’s longtime partner, Lilian Guthrie, at the anniversary celebration.
