Interact Club hosts Freshmen Orientation

On August 29th the Townsend Rotary sponsored Interact Club hosted a Freshman Orientation/Team Building event at Heritage Fun Park. The purpose of the event was to help the incoming Freshman Class adapt to being in the high school environment and build a team attitude for the entire class.

The event was sponsored by the Interact Club, the Broadwater Schools, the Rotary Club and the Broadwater Community Foundation.

BHS Students Honored by Rotary

On February 13, the Rotary Club of Townsend and the Montana Rotary District 5390 District Governor Joe McBride and his wife Libby recognized a special group of Broadwater High School students: Ronnie Steele, Parker Hufnagel, Daniel Wyse, Olivia Lynn, TommiJo Steele, and Taylor Noyes. These students most of whom attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA) last year, came back to school in late August 2017 fired up and ready to do something special.

2018 District Governor Visit

​On February 13, 2018 the Rotary District Governor (District 5390 - Montana) Joe McBride and his wife Libby McBride visited Townsend and the Townsend Rotary Club.  Pat Platenberg and Ross Johnson took Joe and Libby on a tour of Townsend and the many projects the Townsend Rotarians have completed or participated in getting done.

Interact Club 2018 Team Building for the "21's"

Every year the Townsend Rotary Club send 4-6 high school students to the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy for a week long leadership training camp.  The students participate in a variety of events designed to develop their leadership skills.  Every attendee has come back home very happy with the time they spend at RYLA and feel it was truly a life changing event.

Townsend Trivia Night Funds Interact Scholarship

On Thursday November 2, the Helena Sunrise Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Townsend sponsored Trivia Night at the American Legion in Townsend to raise money for an Interact Scholarship for a Townsend Interact Club student.  The Rotary Club of Townsend is currently helping form a brand new Interact Club for Townsend Youth.  Two of the potential new Interact Club students attended Trivia Night.
