On June 12 nearly 70 people gathered at the old Masonic Hall to hear Walter Deege speak about his life in Germany during the Holocaust.  While Walter and his family were not jewish his father was sent to a concentration camp where he died.  Many non-jewish people were sent to the concentation camps for any activity that offended the Nazi party.

Rotary 2018 Holiday Party

Submitted by vsample on Fri, 01/12/2018 - 14:56

On Jan 6, 2018 the Townsend Rotary Club held our annual Holiday Party at the old Masonic Hall in Townsend -- courtesy of the building owner Tina Edelblut.  Dinner was catered by Chef Rex Dunbar featuring brisket, smashed red potatoes, salad and rolls.  The Rotary members and spouses contributed deserts in the Great Holiday Dessert competition.

The Rotary members performed an hilarious skit "Bus Ride to Everywhere" with vignettes highlighting different themes.
